Having completed Master of Counselling at Murdoch University, I am equipped with both theoretical and experiential knowledge that will facilitate a good therapeutic relationship while providing clients with best approach. During my Graduate Diploma in Psychology at James Cook University, I have completed modules such as Ethics, Advance Social Psychology, Disorders in Early Childhood and positive psychology. I believe that through the knowledge I have cultivated from here, I will be able to adhere strongly to the code of conduct and all professional rules surrounding this area. My Bachelors of Science in Psychology has enabled me to work as a Research Assistant for National Institute of Education for a year. I have been trained to conduct several tests for kids aged 6 years old. These test includes: TEMA-3 (Test of Early Mathematics Ability, 3rd Ed.), (WRAT-4) Wide Range Achievement Test 4th Edition and also other test that has been elaborated further in my resume. Previously, I was working as a Relief teacher at Sparkle Tots, in which I have gained experience dealing with kids aged from 18 months to 36 months. I was also working part time as an Internship Psychologist and Admin Associate at The Centre for Psychology, Singapore. I am also a part time Enrichment facilitator at Cheers Connect International. My strong interest in youth development has push me to look for an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our youth. I have extensive experience working with youths to brainstorm. Moreover, I also have experience working with people with different issues. My experience as an Internship Psychologist has allowed me to enhance my knowledge on the different human beings we face in our everyday life and also conduct Psychological Assessments. As an Enrichment facilitator, I have gained experience with Primary and Secondary School students. I have also gained experience in classroom management. I have also been constantly upgrading myself so as to keep up with fast-pacing world. I have completed my Specialist Diploma in Psychology under Singapore Manufacturer’s Federation. The specialization of this diploma is Counselling. During this course, I have completed core modules such as Developmental Psychology, Early Childhood Psychology, Counselling and Communication Skills, Research methods and etc. These modules have improved my knowledge and understanding of human beings. My strong passion for psychology has brought me to where I am now. As a psychology student, I have completed modules like Abnormal psychology, Individual Differences, Cognition, Research methods, Biopsychology, Dynamic models of Counselling and etc. These modules have helped me to further understand why human beings behave in different ways and also enable me to apply what I have learnt in my daily lifestyle. During this course, I also took up Hypnotherapy under The Pathlight Centre. I believe that knowledge purely is not sufficient, but experience is also important. Thus, I want to gain more experience.
